Is it better to write more okay content or once a week great content?

If the keyword is easy and your domain is decent in terms of authority (backlinks) you can rank with garbage content. I have an autoblog that has had GPT-2 autogenerated content (like ArticleForge) published onto it last year and it ranks #5 with that garbage content for one long tail keyword simply because nobody on google's 1st page targets that keyword, so google has nothing better to rank and ranks my shit LOL.
So, if you manage to find such keywords that nobody covers you can rank with any type of content as long as you put the keyword in the title of page and include some LSI keywords throughout the article, you don't even need an image ALT tag (I have no image in that article, by the way).
Of course, another big reason for which this garbage content ranks is also because the domain has a lot of RDs (370 more precisely), so this matters too...
But if you were against tough competition (everyone on google's 1st page had their content optimized for that keyword and had backlinks pointing to their content) you'd definitely need better content

That would depend on your competition.
If your competition is super low, okay content with no backlinks would easily rank.
Whereas if your competition is super hard then there would be more factors involved other than great content.

Content is important for ranking, but it's not the only factor. Structure, da, backlinks and speed are crucial as well. Google does not quality check on every language afaik, But if your blog is in English it does matter it will be well written and not rubbish. To conclude - See your seo score, use services like gsc moz ahrefs etc. to see how your site ranks and check for errors or broken links as well.

Quality is greater than quantity. Check whether your keyword has high competition. Quality content is indeed an important factor but make sure you are focusing on other factors as well.

Always quality speaks more over quantity.
Sometimes frequent pots on your site with updated content helps you increase the page numbers, but dumping shits of content leads to less effective

Search engines know better content than us, so keep up your good work. No problem with article quantity, you can publish daily or once a week quality matters.

You need to analyze competitors in search results and make it better than them. Google loves, for example, when the topic is revealed in as much detail as possible and there are more pictures, videos and other content of your niche.
Think about users.

Two to four times per week is the best way to blog. But, It all depends upon the time and resource you have.

I suggest twice a week great content it depends on what niche is your website

Some articles don't need to be great at least for ranking but as you gain more traffic, you must produce great content in order to gain natural backlinks.
