good day guys please i have this question of which is better either using embedded format to implement your videos on your tube website or do i download and upload on my website and again i dont know which is better either running your own vps for hosting or getting a hosting from providers.

I'd be happy to help you out with that. In my experience, embedding videos from YouTube can be a good option as it reduces bandwidth usage on your website, but it may also lead to distractions with related videos and ads. On the other hand, uploading videos directly to your website gives you more control, but it can be resource-intensive. What's your primary concern - reducing costs, improving user experience, or increasing control over your video content?

for me i think embedding is easy i dont know how better for now because am the only one doing everthing like development i dont have that strength and time to download instead i just store the embedded key on my sql still stressful duo

Embedding is usually better. It saves bandwidth, loads faster, and you don’t deal with video hosting headaches. Downloading and reuploading eats resources and can cause issues. Same with hosting. A good provider beats running your own VPS unless you really need control.

Embedding is better for beginners cheaper faster and lower risk.
Reuploading with VPS only makes sense if you need full control and can handle costs and compliance.

thanks for your contribution

Re-uploading works better for discovery and rankings, while embeds only help when the host page already has authority and traffic.

Hello kingsley0617,

Embedding is usually the safer and more cost effective way to start because it saves you massive amounts of bandwidth and storage costs. If you choose to upload directly to your own vps, you will need a high performance setup and a cdn to handle the video streaming traffic without lag. Most successful tube sites use a hybrid approach where they embed to scale quickly and only host their top performing or exclusive content on offshore servers to maintain control. Focusing on server offshore hosting is also critical if you decide to upload, as standard providers often have strict dmca policies.

Embedding YouTube videos is usually better—faster load times, less bandwidth cost, automatic player updates, and no hosting strain.
For hosting, managed hosting from a provider beats running your own VPS unless you need custom configs and have sysadmin experience.

Good question — it depends on your goals, but there is a clear default for most sites.

Video embedding vs uploading to your site

  • Embedding (YouTube/Vimeo) is usually better: faster load times, no bandwidth costs, better reliability, and less server stress.
  • Uploading videos to your own site only makes sense if you need full control, paywalls, or exclusivity — it’s expensive and requires strong infrastructure.

VPS vs shared/managed hosting

  • If you embed videos, a good managed hosting provider is enough for most websites.
  • A VPS is better only if you have high traffic, custom server needs, or technical skills to manage security and performance.

Bottom line:
For most people, embed videos + managed hosting is the safest, cheapest, and most scalable setup.
