Hey Guys,
Was wondering if it is better to use my wordpress site or move with a new HTML/CSS/PHP website.

My only concern is because of the load speed, the html/css site will be faster?
Also this website will have the option to post blogs too.

in the other hand WP is pretty slow.
So should i keep going with WP or with custom html/css?

Regards

Hey man,

I am a huge fan of html and css custom sites. Because I like to design every aspect from the site myself. Since that works faster for me than WP I alwayd do that.

Wordpress is the best for blogs and sites with a lot of pages.

You can make the load speed better woth custom html & css.
the load speed only depends on how many files it jas to load and how big the files are. Next to that it depends on the webhosting speed. If you load a lot of files from different places it all depends on their webhost

Thanks a lot friend.
In fact, the wp theme that i use has a lot of files and they may have a lot of scripts used which make the load speed slower.

That's why i'm pro on html and css custom sites.

Just wanted to hear your thoughts.

Regards

Proper caching solution will make wp sites load fast. But of course if the theme loads a bunch of junk files like many top themeforest themes, then change them first.

It really depends on your goal. Is the site about blogging or just a landing page? The answer to the two is obvious.

If you want a site that wants to be completely unique (and secure) and focused on design, then a custom site is the way to go.

If you want a blog and you don't mind working off of templates or frameworks (to create Wordpress child themes), then Wordpress is the way to go.

Indeed, HTML and CSS get you a faster loading speed compared to WP. But, if you are targeting a blog thing, WP is the best way. You can customize your CSS and PHP file and combine them to get it faster. Proper caching tool will be a life saver for you. :)

You can always use CloudFlare to improve page load speed. But since you want to post, WP is definitely the option.

I created and developed many websites by using html, css, javascript and php.I also created many wordpress blogs. I agree It's speed is high, compare to wordpress but wordpress is not bad option. Delete unnecessary plugins.
