Is it a Golden Keyword?

Today I was just playing with keywords and noticed a nice keyword with exact match domain, its in health niche and somewhat related to weight loss. The keyword is like ?What is [Keyword]?, for example ?What is HIV?.

It has 8100 Global monthly searches and 3600 local in exact search. CPC is $2.46 and .Net domain is available. But the problem is it has little high competition. If I search ?keyword? in Google with quotation, it shows 450,000 exact results. Allintitle is 6,410 and inurl shows 6,430 results.

Here are the competitors on first page

Now, is it possible to compete with these high PR pages if I have exact match domain?

The EMD will help a lot but those are some serious backlinks you'll have to contend with. You can rank IMO but it will take some time and consistent patience/effort on your part!

I'm not an expert but in my humble opinion words like "what" and "is" don't get that same juice from an EMD as other words like "HIV"

This is based on absolutely no testing whatsoever

Google is getting prepared for a new algo change especially aimed for EMDs. So be quick and fill it with somewhat unique-like content.

Thanks for your response, backlink and high PR sites of 1st page is a big factor here. But at the same time 4 sites have PR3 and less and 5 sites have less than 50 backlinks. Thats a positive factor at the same time.

Thanks for your response, I heard about the algo change. But there are two factors will still keep that beneficial. First, it will still get the benefit of keyword in url and second, it will never harm the ranking.

monthly 8000 searches is not gold mate. May be bronze. That too if you have .com domain.

For the most part thats true (more so if your monetizing method is adsense) but if you're selling your own product, it can be solid gold. I have a site that gets only 3k UV a month and I sell my own products on it and it makes me over 2k on recurring income. Its all thanks to the keyword being a highly targetted buyers phrase and my highly tweaked sales funnel.

Yep. Thats true mudbutt. But OP mentioned that its health niche and cpc $2.8 . I think he will go for adsense site.

Yeah, but my point is he doesn't HAVE to make an adsense site. He can better utilize that traffic to make more money.
