Just ran a backlink check on Ahrefs and noticed a brand mention on my company in an article of top 5 vendors in the industry.
However, the rating of my company is really not decent. It's 3.5 with 370 votes (?!). The article was only published 3 days ago. And Ahrefs showed no organic traffic to that particular page. I was really puzzled what went wrong here. Note that the rating at my GMB listing is actually 5.0 (and they are genuine).....
I am indeed concerned about the rating because this review page is already indexed......
I am not an expert in HTML code. Do you guys think the rating and number of votes below are fake?
<div itemscope="" itemtype="http://schema.org/LocalBusiness">
<meta itemprop="name" content="xxxxxxx">
<meta itemprop="image" content="https://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx">
<meta itemprop="address" content="xxxxxxxxx">
<meta itemprop="telephone" content="xxxxxxxxxxxxx">
<div itemprop="aggregateRating" itemscope="" itemtype="http://schema.org/AggregateRating">
<b>
<span itemprop="ratingValue">3.5</span></b> (<span itemprop="ratingCount">370</span> Votes)
<meta itemprop="bestRating" content="5"><meta itemprop="worstRating" content="1"></div></div>
I was allowed to vote in that page. However, whenever I clicked the stars, both the rating and number of votes did increase. But after I refresh the webpage, the rating and # of votes are back to what you can see above. Funny enough, if you check the same page through iPhone, you can see the updated rating and # of votes. But the page doesn't respond when you try to vote.....
