Is it a bad idea to make a website about the crappy things an actor does?

No idea is good or bad unless you try it out yourself.

adsense and magazine subscriptions to US!/People and shit... lol

hmmm I wouldnt say there would be much money in it, maybe singers? But still not sure but I have never gave it much thought.

What you got to remember is your creating a website about someone... they can easily start causing you a lot of trouble if they want the website shut down and can easily get it shut down. Although there are a lot of fan websites out there, a lot of actors do thrown upon unofficial fan pages as there used to exploit the members, which im guessing you'll be doing because you want to make money and not because your a big fan of the actor?

Its more to exploit the scandalous things a SINGLE actor does. Not gonna reveal names but im just worried about legal actions if the site goes viral

Of course it's worth it if you get the traffic!

What type of scandals? Just gossip? Might be fine i guess, but they could basically say "your out to get them" and its harassment and all that... My personal opinion about creating website about famous people is, that its not worth it. They will get shut down if it becomes viral and will be a waste of time and when your creating website you want them to go viral not making sure they dont... Just my two cents anyway :)

Edit: I know were on a blackhat forum so I'll expect some flaming but what you got to also think about is your messing with someones life. Why just this actor? Would you like all your secrets told all over the internet?

No, not a bad idea at all. Usually the competition for the actor's are really low. So it should be really easy to rank and get traffic.

Expanding on the above - if they were to 'go after you' they could probably do it quite simply by pointing the picture agencies in your direction.

I presume you don't own copyright to any of the photos.

I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of Getty or their ilk.

Just go offshore and you will be safe, also I think you could easily rank for "[actor name] gossip" (without quotes :D )

Reporters get broad leeway with the 1st amendment. As long as you are reporting what other people are saying, you aren't held responsible for what you report.

"Many people have indicated that Guthridge has an obsessions with midgets. We've even received reports that Guthridge has been seen cruising red-light districts looking for midget prostitutes. One recently released inmate of the Orange County Jail reports that he saw Guthridge being processed into the jail on charge of possession of illegal midget porn."

Although I am highly skeptical about people that obsess over all the bad things that might happen to them if they were to put some effort into a project and then got successful. They've built in a pre-planned reason to quit, before they've even started. I've heard that everyone that was ever killed in a car accident started off their day by getting out of bed in the morning. If they had just stayed in bed, they might be alive today.

We live in a fear-based world. Fear on the TV, fear in the politics. Womanly men expressing their fears of trying, fears of failing and being rewarded for their emotional "sharing", and actively encouraged to become more like women, even to the extent that they get fucked by other men, i.e. faggots. Brought down to woman-level so that weak women can feel like "equals", and weak men can feel accepted, and "loved".

And that's not how real men are. Real men want respect, and don't give a fuck about equality, they want motherfucking SUPERIORITY. Real men DO, and they worry about the fucking consequences later. That actor doesn't give a fuck about what other people think, does he? Fuck no. He's got money, fame and all the pussy a man could ever want. I doubt very much he'll give a fuck what you do. You should spend less time worrying about what other people might think, say or do, and more time worrying about yourself and what you think, say and do.

Celebs are horrible to deal with. They rely a lot on their fans doing stuff for them for free. I think they will appreciate any publicity they can get.

I just think as long as you have a way to monetize it, it's probably worth doing. Most likely nothing will happen as long as you aren't slandering the actor himself. Use a lot of quotes lol.
