Is it a bad idea to change to a business account? HELP with new algorithm

I read an article on entrepreneur . com and that stated because instagram is linked with facebook something similar would happen as to when facebook allowed you to change your regular page to a business page. This means the algorithm limits your post impressions which in turn trickles down to your other things like comments, likes, and everything else mainly because they are trying to monetize on your brand.

Has anyone changed their page to a business account and noticed anything differences? I am having a difficult time with the new algorithm and I dont know if im paranoid but I feel its been even worse since I changed my accounts to businesses. Any pointers on how to beat the new algorithm?

I have NO idea whether it will effect it or not, but Im assuming it eventually will. And for now, I have held of on changing any of mine to business pages

It's all about money and sooner or later you WILL pay the price for being a business account. I stay far far away from that button.

I actually changed to Business. On the 1st day I don't think anything major happened, normal reach and likes. I think around the 2nd-3rd day my likes and engagement drastically dropped by 50%-60%, nobody was commenting on my posts, and my page completely stopped growing. I have switched back to normal account and all my likes are back.

I love it. It gives me analytics on how many people have seen my pics and let me know how my engagement is really doing. (Also, you can always switch your profile back to a regular one if you don't like it).

But does it have an effect on your likes/followers growth ?

I have Insights WITHOUT a business profile.....more people having it? I have this on just 1 account though.

I noticed a big bump when i returned to being a personal account. Didn't notice any change when I first switched to it tho.

We have always had a business page. But then again most of all our followers are customers. Never really gone out and tried to really market on facebook to really grow that part of traffic.

I'd like to know this as well

Does natural growth on IG decreases? I am only getting 10+ followers per day even though my engagement reached 2k+???
