Lately I’ve noticed organic reach on Instagram dropping fast even quality posts barely get seen unless boosted. Seems like Meta is pushing ads harder than ever.

Is anyone here still seeing good organic results, or is Instagram now fully pay-to-play?

As of right now, they have not released anything yet, but many users are still getting very good reach on reels, as long as they follow TOS

Yes, the same thing is happening to me too. I have a small follower base but no reach, it’s quite frustrating.

It depend on the upload/host niche on the app, some niches/pages are active with interactions without paid ads but good content.

You're not wrong. The platform definitely prioritizes paid visibility now. Organic reach is a serious struggle. Your best bet is to really focus on creating super engaging, unique content and push it hard on other platforms to bring people in. Don't rely solely on IG for growth.

Yes — organic reach on Instagram is dropping a lot lately, especially for business or content-only accounts; now, even good content needs strong engagement early (comments/saves/shares) or some boosting to really push.

instagram has been dead for me for a long time. i don't understand what the problem is really.

I think working hook can easily increase the reach. Generally social media platform can't keep pushing ads they need to maintain the credibility of platform also. If you are not getting reach then try to improve hook or use high quality stuff. Once you starts getting initial engagement from followers you will see the boost pretty quickly.

Organic reach on Instagram is really low now. Unless you boost posts, hardly anyone sees them. It’s mostly pay to play these days.

Building a loyal community through stories and DMs still seems to bypass some of the algorithm’s limits.

Focusing on genuine engagement and niche communities can still break through Instagram’s algorithm challenges.

Yes, many people are seeing less organic reach on Instagram now paid ads seem more important but posting regularly sharing interesting content and using Stories or Reels can still help reach people.

Mixed results
In some cases it's working decently to get organic reach
But in many accounts, the organic reach is much less than it used to be a few years ago

Reach is lower than before, but still possible with strong engagement and niche content. Reels, early engagement, and trending formats still get free reach, though boosting posts accelerates growth faster.

Yes, I guess, both work at the same time. It depends on which tactic you use.
