Is Instagram really good for sales?

Hey I may be a little off topic with what product I sell (I make instrumental music and sell it). Instagram is a fundamental part to my success in regards to making sales. I post my website link in the bio, and all my posts are revolved around letting people know they can purchase my product from my bio link. I have built a good customer base, and this is only off 1 account with 15k+ followers. I felt this was worth sharing as it may partly answer your question in terms of how good instagram is for finding customers.

Absolutely. There are mutli-million dollar brands that built there business and exposure purely from Insta. It's very powerful but it can be very hard to master depending on your niche.

If I want to sell, say, a necklace of a turtle, is it enough to just make an Instagram account about turtles and set it up on mass planner to follow people every day and post pics of turtles?
I have an insta for my redbubble t-shirt account and tbh it's never converted, although I've only got about 500 followers on there.

At first i think will be fine, obviously target very well your aundience, also try to make some marketing work (Good Logo / Imagenes / Etc)

Super niche dependent, but yeah definitely doable with the right accounts, strategy and audience.
