I’ve been noticing a big shift on Instagram lately.
It doesn’t feel like follower count matters the same way anymore. I’ve seen small pages get crazy reach, while bigger pages struggle while their content really hits.
It almost feels like Instagram’s AI is testing every post instantly and deciding:
So the real question is:
Are we still playing a social media game or are we just optimizing for AI behavior now?

- Who to show it to
- How long to push it
- Whether it deserves more reach or not
- Reels either flop or take off fast, not much in between
- Watch time seems way more important than likes
- The same content can perform completely different across accounts
So the real question is:
