Is indulgent behavior a sign of weak self-discipline?

-desire for luxury
-just buying stuff because they can
-desire for expensive cars

Yes. Because normal self-discipline gets buried under a mind that's lost or losing the self-control and balance, and the normal sense of knowing where to stop anything in a normal way. Anyway, a normal healthy mind is one of the greatest assets any human can have imo.
