When linking to other pages on your site should you include HTTP/HTTPS in the hyperlink and why or why not?

Use whatever the site you are linking to uses. If it uses https, link with https, if not, then not. Just open it in the browser and copy paste the address. This really isn't a rocket science.

I think he means do you have to include http/https at all, for instance -

    https://www.blackhatworld.com

    or

    http://www.blackhatworld.com

I don't think it really matters, the browser will find the correct URL.

These days you can let the browser decide itself by omitting the http or https scheme. Try this for example: <a href="//www.blackhatworld.com">
