Is hiding google +1 button or facebook like button after user clicked or +1ed good idea ?

I am thinking about hiding +1 button after person +1'ed. So i need to read from iframe whether person +1ed or not or same as liked or not.

It will be session based so when session ended it will be shown again so it will read again and hide or not. Anyone is doing this ?

I am using jquery but not luck yet how to read whether +1 ed or not
