Is Having a graduate degree is necessity to become successful?

When you will be graduated, you learn many things in life, you become more knowledgeable and smart, and then you get 5times better jobs,so do graduate according to your interest.

I am not talking any nonsense, just the truth about the status of what IM is. You can't get a well paying marketing job just from doing IM alone if you ever need or want one, that is why you need a marketing degree. Plus when you are self employed in marketing it will impress clients more that you have a degree instead of just experience.

Again you are talking nonsense. I am saying that you do not need a Degree to be a successful Entrepreneur, you are saying that a Degree is required to get a good job.
I haven't disagreed with that notion, but that isn't what is being discussed here. The topic of discussion is "Do you require a degree to be successful?" my answer is NO and if is definitely not required to be a successful Entrepreneur.

You have been brainwashed. You definition of success is working in a respectable career. Your parents started telling you that when you were very young and then your school said the same thing and your university hammered it home. In your mind a degree is required for a respectable career where you can spend 30-40 years working your way up the corporate ladder. I don't blame you as a lot of sheeple are fed this line and believe it. You have now spent so long living this lie that it offends you that there may be other ways to define success. You have to justify the years spent studying and the debts incurred.
You are probably in some career hoping to reach the first rung on the Management ladder where you will spend your life with other degree holders waiting for people to retire or die so that you can move up slowly through the ranks.

Your middle class definition of success means that you want a nice house in a nice respectable area but that's OK, you will be earning a reasonable salary so will be able to afford your large mortgage but that's OK, you can still live off your credit cards. One day you may attract a Mate that has similar ambitions and you will produce children and feed them the same lines you were brought up on. They will go to university and follow in your footsteps, starting their working life with $$$$$$ dollars of debt. And because each year more and more people are studying for a degree they may find that unless they have gone to one of the top universities then their degree may be pretty worthless. But its OK McDonald's is still hiring, they can apply for a management job, but of course they will have to study again at Hamburger University

I wonder why you are even on a forum such as BHW because it is clear you are not an Entrepreneur, you are a consumer not a producer.

I am not brainwashed, I once held the anti-education attitude and that having a corporate job is bad. But have since realized that getting a degree and a corporate job is the best thing. It will give you a good amount of stable income. It doesn't disallow someone from starting their own business whether it be an online or offline one. It also has no indication on the personal finance choices that someone has made or is going to make. In fact having a nice corporate job allows you to take even more risk with IM, and you can grow your IM earnings faster because of that.

Having nothing but IM gives you the determination and motivation to succeed.

But you can be motivated and determined just as much as someone with just one risky thing if you have both risky and stable thing going on. IM can be heavily impacted by automation tools and what kind of speed your connection is, what kind of computer you have, how many servers you have.

So much more work can be completed with a pcie ssd over a 5400 rpm HDD, i7 over an i3, 100Mbps upload over a 4Mbps upload etc.

Very good discussion. As I read on my computer, McDonald's employees work their asses off for $8 per hour. Mothers walk around miserable with their crying siren of a baby which they probably wish they never had.

We at BHW certainly are a lucky breed.

I would take the elevated money, freedom, intelligence, and hard work of internet marketing over everything.

And I always remember where I came from. I was the McDonald's employee.

Being a CEO is no good either. To me the only way I would ever get a corporate job is if I really believed in what they are doing in the world. In which case I STILL wouldn't do it. I would rather just vote with my dollars and buy their product.

American society in particular has many "traps" that people fall into. Large investments of time and money that fuck up your life.

Having kids is one, marriage is another, a silly suit-and-tie job is yet another.

Why pursue a degree and a pretty, matching corporate job when the job might just go away? Or perhaps you decide to move to Alaska, Hawaii, or Australia?

Why limit yourself?

BS, if you were offered a good salary to be a CEO you would not decline it. You are not disallowed from carrying on IM or running online based business if you are a CEO of another business.

There are countless news bios on successful people who quit school to pursue other interests, but this is media sensationalism.

Rarely do they ever talk about the boring stuff, AKA the hours upon hours of behind the scenes work to get them to where they are.

You can also be successful pursuing education and having personal business interests on the side, it just makes for a less interesting story.

I'm studying at the moment, and it can sometimes be very hard to maintain a balance.

You can choose to complete your degree in 5 years instead of 4 to lighten your course load.

But first try to think of yourself as a business, pretend you are working for someone and become lean.

Sit down and think of a few things every day that you do that you can drop and replace with what you ought to be doing, and think of IM as an extra course at school.

EDIT:

Also I think school is a great time to network. People greatly undervalue their skills because they have no professional experience. It's a bit of a shame, but smart people always take advantage of this and hire on campus.

Absolutely not BS.

Being a CEO requires too much time and energy. I'll be taking phone calls and answering emails all day. If I'm lucky I'll have an interview with CNN to announce my company's profits or some bullshit.

Even if I was paid a million a month I wouldn't even get to enjoy the damn money.

I'll gladly pass on that.

You can have it.

You don't have to work for the rest of your life as CEO, you could resign after a year or two. So I doubt you would actually deny $12,000,000/year salary if it was actually offered to you.

No amount of money would make that ok for me. Every decision they make ripples throughout the company and affects millions of jobs. It ripples throughout the planet earth, it affects young kids minds.

I would constantly be scrutinized by a board of people.

It's just too much. Why would I poison myself with such a position?

I don't care about the status.

To EVEN GET THE JOB I would need to build up a track record and at least be with the company for a prerequisite of a few years.

Sure I'd do IM on the side. Why don't I just spray paint my hair grey too while I'm at it?

Working is good for perspective though.

Manual labour at factory - motivation for degree
Intern at corporate place - motivation for self employment

At both places, people were content but there was almost always a sarcastic "living the dream man!" when you ask how everyone is doing.

Talking with employees for a while, I started to talk with this one guy who graduated top of his class in his days.

He's been with the company for 20 years. He says he likes to work here because it pays the bills, and they (the company) grant him some freedom to do
what he wants.

Then the conversation started to get deeper, it was like the scene from The Road where they realize they eat the humans in the house.

"People want out, they've been working here forever and they want out. You know Mr.Quiet guy? Yea he goes home and he's actually been programming all night long. He's working on something big, doesn't talk much."

These experiences were worth much more than any monetary compensation.

Marketing as a whole is one thing, but IM alone which is what most people on here onny do is not a real career. If you want to be a real marketeer get a degree and work for a firm and climb the corporate ladder, make contacts and start a marketing firm.

You can't be serious? I never thought I'd be 'that dik head' bragging about earning a decent amount but fuk me I'm making the '6 figs a year' cringe with ease mostly by slinging shite on ebay and amazon, if I ever get a grip on the actual internet marketing and take much of a % from the 1-2 million google searches my items get per month I'll be pissing all over any job you can get with a degree lol.
Happy to show you some proof if you like or can send you a couple of videos of my Dad on bloomberg or bbc talking about his 'finance industry' job that you so desire, better tell him to give all the cash back due to him not having a degree

As a guy with a law degree and a graduate degree in electronic commerce, I will never regret my education, but most of what I've done in my life to make money did not require either.

So why you hold such a jealous anger towards people in the financial industry?

I don't? I just don't understand why you big it up so much. I'm making more than 99.9% people my age (25) in the 'finance industry' by working 3-4 hours a day.
I'd rather not work 12 hour days, get fat and have grey hair by 30

True. College dropout here.

College taught me some principles that I use. Ways of thinking, and some fun experiences.

If I were OP I would say fuck college, make the money, then come back to college and just take classes you really want.

Yoga with hot girls and such.

Once you learn how to party maybe Micky will invite you to his mansion.
