Anyone know Googles stance on guest posting?

Do you think a guest post links holds value and how about with a branded anchor as opposed to a keyword?

Guest posts on real sites still work and branded anchors are the way to go. As for Google's stance, they don't want you to build links at all

Good still give weigtage to guest posts but they should be from high quality sites not spam!

Sure, if you pick good sites to guest post on - anything with high criteria generally will be a good place to guest post on.

Lol... Guest posting is most certainly still helpful - it all depends on how its done. If you want to fire $5 guest posts from fiverr or the bhw market place at your sites then forget about it.. that shit is not guest posting it is spam.

If you want to get down to some real business then start thinking along the lines of reaching out to site owners.. not buying shitty spammed to death guest posts. Check out this thread its very well written on the topic.

Guest post is a great way to drive traffic, increase sales and grow your brand. Matt cutts stated himself. By no means he is trying to say that you should not guest post. instead , he is stating that it is become spammy.

Yes, it is definitely still effective. One of my projects managed to get top10 rankings with guests posts only. However, it is not that easy to find a good blog to post guest posts, most of blogs look so spammy...

Yes, Guest post is very helpful in SEO. But we need to take care guest post sites quality.
