It is not at all dying. If you just hear to other people, they say everything. Like some people say that sek is dead. They are probably going to sell you some other way for traffic.

If You want to extract the best of best form an guestpost try to get it posted on your nechie relevent one, as this would give you Authority as well as would bring traffic to your website and would be the best for you.

Don’t believe those who say guest posts don’t work. They’re just doing something wrong.

I use guest posts together with Web 2.0 links, forum links, and profile links. I also boost my guest posts separately with link tiers - using forum links and GSA.

Just a month ago, I ran an experiment. I placed 50 guest posts for a single-page casino site - and it started getting traffic and climbing in rankings.
 
Guest posting is definitely not dead, but the days of low-effort spam are long gone. You just need to focus on high-authority sites with actual traffic if you want it to actually move the needle for your SEO.
