Is Gscraper in its death throes?

Updates 1.2.0.0 + have been very bad. They have been altering base functionality, and have been full of bugs.

As an example, update 1.2.0.2 would not use proxies during posting. This was allegedly corrected with update 1.2.0.3 (the most current). Well the proxies do not cycle. I use my own proxies and not Gscrapers. When using them they would normally cycle. With update 1.2.0.2, this is not the case. Gscraper will burn the proxy out before it cycles to a new proxy.

I use a very simple footprint: %KW% -"nofollow"-"no comments"-"posting closed" -"you must be logged in" -"comments are closed" -"akismet" -"akismet_comment_nonce"

With 1.2.0.2 + the single word that I test with produces zero results. With versions prior to 1.2.0.0 there are 145 results produced with the single keyword.

RIP Gscraper.

well, i don't own Gscraper, but from my experience with programming i can say that when there's major base functionality change of exisinting product, there are always tons of bugs in the first release.. maybe you should give time for the developers to fix and tweak them out

Except that it worked as billed before the ---- upgrade ----- (for them). I am of the older school that you test for bugs before you release the upgrade. I am not seeing this from Gscraper.

With their update scheme, no. They over right the files and do not save a backup to roll back to.

However, knowing the above, as soon as an update is made, I copy it over to another directory and number it with their update number so that I can roll back in the event of this type of problem. I had to learn that trick the hard way as well.

I am just wondering if they are going to straighten out the program of if another is going to come up with a program that actually works. I have Scrapebox but find Gscraper, when it works, to be more useful. There have also been complaints about the GScraper proxy service.

Ive noticed that they seem to be letting it go, or maybe its just me, but they dont seem to be working on it the way they used to.

I doubt it. Hopefully the GScraper people will see this and respond. I have GScraper, just haven't used it in awhile.
