I've been hearing a lot of mixed answers in regards to GSA Indexer, but was just wondering what you guys think about it here in 2015. Is it safe? Does it work properly? And what's the success difference between that and other paid subscriptions.

It's cheap, you can expect the world from cheap but it does index. It's only going to index the links it pulled from GSA so if you're using GSA carefully then you'll be fine. As for the success rate you're going to get better results with one of the paid services.

I second that, it can be very memory intensive. When I was running the two together I was on a fairly powerful machine with 16gb of ram, this is overkill but depending on your processor ram should be a careful consideration. Also, the indexer can take a while to finish. I've had it run for a week or more after finishing a large campaign.

Can you say what software it works well with in your setup? Is it a VPS or just a dedicated box? Thanks!
