I just created a new WordPress blog on new domain and published 10 post in 5days , low competition keywords but I want to ask if this Google sandbox is real, will I need to wait for like 4months before getting traffic's?. I have get more than 100 impressions so far and average ranking is 40+.
My average position in USA which I'm targeting is 23.6

It is not compulsory for all. If the website is great and SEO is good, you can get results sooner.

Analyze yourself by looking at these screenshots. These are some websites in early days of last year and waiting patiently really does the work.

On some of them aggressive work was doen and on some just content posting. I believe there is something which will stop you in taking off in early days.

Oh Thank you for the reply. Yes I'm trying in optimize all posts and make sure to cover all topics under each keywords. Most of the keywords has low competition, if I searched for some of them I won't see any post targeting the exact keywords but I don't know what is stopping my own post to be at the top for now, when no one has posted about the keywords. My posts are in number 10, 14, 18.5, 3, when you search for these keywords. Meanwhile no one has targeted the keywords before.

wow. Thanks for this

Why do people think Google Sandbox is a myth? There is "Shadow banning" all over the place on YouTube, Google Play, and other social media. Sandbox and shadow banning are exactly the same: They prevent you from getting organic traffic. They make your website/videos/apps not appear in the search results. Or at least not on pages 1,2 or 3.

If someone says sandbox is not real, they also say shadow banning is not real. But everyone knows there is shadow banning. Why does anyone think they would do shadow banning on so many social media platforms including Google-owned YouTube and Google Play, but not on the Google Search Engine? I don't understand it.

I believe there is sandbox but it does not happen to every site.

Google sandbox is a myth.
Understand what is Sandbox before stating such judgement

Its explicitly shown in GSC, that you are continuously ranking for dozens of keywords that don't have anything to do with your content.
Some time ago people started asking things like this: "I've created a dog-based site called dogfauna.com, why I see "fauna" among the list of my keywords with 5000 impressions, 0 clicks and average positions 5.2?"

Which was the answer for that?

Google Sandbox is a myth?

Probably if you live in FB groups where people are constantly talking based on their sole experience and judgement, you will get to this kind of conclusions. But the reality is that here we try mostly set a framework for research and observation. Google gives explicit cues about certain aspects of their algorithm, and in case they don't, many run some experiments with multiple domains and SEO testing frameworks.

The question if this thread is completely biased just by what it's being asked by itself:

Google doesn't sandbox for low comp keywords. In fact, Google doesn't qualify and classify every single keyword contrarily to what we could expect, and this is also why, some people have never received a Manual revision despite of ranking for a shit load of long-tail keywords. Google cares 0% about low-key sites and low comp keywords. They just rank them the best they can based on what they have. Their real focus is clearly in medium-high competition keywords, and there is where you suddenly find people struggling with pop ins and pop outs in the top 10-20-30 results of their already ranking page out of the blue.

Why so?

Because Google Sandbox is a myth?

Based on what you think sandbox is unreal? Peoples' reports?

Just because many members here report that their rank stuck, it doesn't mean there's sandbox.

Please consider their knowledge to judge their keyword research, their domain history (even for newly registered), their backlink profile, how they judge keyword difficulty etc.

I even still read nowaday that some people trust Moz DA PA lol

I never experience "sandbox" and i will repeat it again, sandbox is a myth.

There is reason good history and good backlink profile expiring niche domain rank for their targeted keywords without facing "sandbox" period.

Please consider this also. There's correlation to your "sandbox"

It's simple. First of all it is pretty much disclosure that they can not fight backlink spam and can't solve that part for years. Especially when it all started to be all about money "crawling budget etc..."

Mueller continues:

They have most answers already to all the questions that they have scraped from all over the web. They are not crawlers pretty much any longer, but scrapers IMO. No better than us trying to swim out there in these waters.
To understand more what I'm talking about, this patent submitted by G recently can shed some light to that: https://www.seobythesea.com/2022/05/generating-query-answers/ I'm in no way related to that website.

This is why you get straightforward answers to questions that have static answers. They don't need any more sites to reply that questions. This is also why insane traffic drop in PAA and more sites. All related to that IMO.

So they don't need to recrawl any site containing that information. Again, saving money.

Crawling inner site pages will be fine, once when they have website in their db. For all other actions they will ask for submission via GSC or live indexing API and take it from there. Again, not recrawling junk, just acknowledging it for the first time.

Yes, it is real. I also have a 4 months old website with 90+ quality posts and it is not a new domain but an expired one with decent backlinks.

Not only my posts stayed at 50+ positions but Google hit my website with the spam update. All the impressions and clicks are back to Zero in Google and my site is already dead and my hundreds of hours of hard work are wasted.

I still get a few pageviews from other search engines but not from Google.

DO you build spam backlinks? I think backlink cause this

Google sandbox is a myth.
it's not a myth, my friend! Lots of sites do not rank for months to up to 2 years despite of what they're doing. They are indexed, yes, but they're not ranking. This is sandbox and it happened to my sites many times before
