hey,all

I realize that with the completion of the update many sites have been affected and we are actively modifying or improving our sites in hopes of changing that!(not working)

In the process, we discovered that 100% of the low-level (webshell homepage indexed backlinks) blackhat sites actually dominate the first page, not one, but the entire first page. This wouldn't have happened before because there were other high powered sites involved in the rankings, but now these normal sites disappeared. This is really frustrating.

Don’t ever be totally dependent on google for your income. I have no idea how people sleep at night doing that. Traffic swings are mad these days.

Try and build a legit brand so you get high direct traffic and build an email list. No one can take your email list.

YouTube is more stable than Google. It's a part of Google, but you can't flood youtube as it ranks videos published on its own platform. Google allows spam domains to publish 1m articles a day after some time. On YouTube you can't go so hard, so the general work atmosphere is different.

You can do both as they're inter-connected. A YouTube video ranks on Google and on YouTube on front page, recommendations and YouTube search.

Youtube search is so bad rn. Youtube isnt same anymore. I hardly get what i want unlike before. The changes within the last 2 years are truly the worst.

Everyone has 1m subs these days. Soon 10% of Americans will be millionaires. Then 20%. The monetary system collapses under its own inventions like AI and hacked minds by FAANG. Aim for $50m now to be considered wealthy.

If earning money becomes easy money will lose it's value. Haha

It is easier on one end, on another people have more mental health problems.

So if you get rid of mental health problems, you can build an e-mail list and build many products instead of chasing another buck from Adsense.

I understand your point, and I agree that relying completely on Google is risky. I just feel like Google’s current actions are making it impossible for us to cope. For example, in just the past few days, websites I’ve used for years have disappeared from the first two pages of search results, and even though I use them regularly, I still can’t remember their domain names (since I didn’t bookmark them). If Google keeps doing this, I might not have the chance to access them again (which is exactly what’s happening with my own site now). It just feels frustrating.so sad.

Pouring cement or growing trees is easier than ranking sites on google. You don't have to continue whatever you do right now. Real estate prices are hyper inflated. You can think about other things than narrow niche called SEO. It's not worth it long term. It's only to promote business, but why would anyone do it when you have things like PPC, video etc. I believe it's just fight or flight response this type of thing causes. When you're frustrated, you feel like you need to push forward. But the best thing in this case is to simply explore different opportunities.

SEO was always best done with deep pockets and real business behind it.

Google is ALL IN AI and Gemini is doing good so far, so google is not dying and will not die any time soon.
Google search and SEO will adapt though.

there are no rules, i think. i've been using seo for about 9 years and i've seen it all. hand written, high quality sites with 1-2 articles a day penalized overnight and low quality AI written sites that go on for months or years.
i don't think there are any rules, just luck.
i have one website in bh niche that survive on google since 2016. Ok, it's very well written, but it's still in a niche bh

Google isn't gonna die. When was the last time you used Yahoo, Myspace or Tumblr? They are still alive and getting millions of visitors. Alphabet has its hands on a lot of things but Adwords is still their bread and butter. The name of the game has always been "spread your risks" it was true 10 years ago and it's still true today. And yea, like @jamie3000 said, build a list. Or a community.
