Is Google Disavow Still Relevant in 2025?

Does disavowing links still help in 2025? Or is Google smart enough now to just ignore spammy backlinks made by competitors?
Curious to know if anyone still sees real benefit from disavowing, or are we just wasting time?

I don't think it ever really worked.

It's just a tool to admit you're guilty.

still hits different if ur site got hit hard and u know the links are trash af. google ignores most low quality stuff now but if the spam looks unnatural or u got hella toxic ones pointing to u, disavow can clean it up a bit. not always needed but def not useless either

How long do you think Google takes to remove those links, after submitting them in disavow tool,?
