Recently I have noticed the huge efforts google has done to make their users feel like they are receiving more relative content.

I have seen sites with very few links ranking high for some tough keywords.

I am starting to think google is now using more of its local rankings into its national ranking formula.

What I mean is they realize that We have been creating auto blogs that you can barley understand just to get click on our adword accounts. and when we promote these sites we spam 1000's of forums and blogs for back links.

We do not usually go after local search terms. Is it possible that google is putting more weight into companies who rank locally (as to filter out the trash for its users?)

What I am asking if I have a site ranking for 100 towns about dentist, how does that effect my national ranking for the key word dentist?

I will be starting a site and just ranking it for local search terms only and see how I rank for the non local term.

Wish me luck. If I am right we may have a whole new way of getting to number #1

It depends on the site.. If local terms are in expressions, local listings are gonna appear before but if the term is global then I would say you are not right..

    I am sure of it.
