Supposedly My site has been getting higher than usual traffic. I have a dedicated server from hostgator. The site has been going down off and on for about a week. The MySQL database keeps going down. Hostgator investigated and I got this message from them this morning:
I'm showing that there was a large number of connections primarily from developers.google.com and facebook. The server is setup to only have 25 user connections in MySQL, which this surpassed. It also caused the server to have an out of memory condition, which is likely what caused the cPanel service monitor to hang up.
WTF?? A large number of connections from developers.google.com??
Anyone know what that might be about?
