I am running speed tests on my website through webpagespeedtest.org to fix my slow website. I changed a lot of things, and I got my site to load up in under a second, with cheap black hat world shared hosting.
I placed the Google Analytics (GA) code in the footer or my website "for speed, " and I ran about 100 tests. On average GA slows down my site by 300ms. To me, this is close to eternity for non-essential analytics.
I'm new to the whole speed optimization game. This speed test is taken from a new website I just started up. Do you have any good reasons why I should keep GA when just starting a website and going through the early stages of traffic growth? I'm just curious; I will probably remove the bloated analytics either way.
