I just wanted to share an interesting article about why Google may no longer announce major algorithm updates but since I can't post URL, you wont. Too bad :lmao:
I've already read this. There are companies who monitor algorithm fluctuations such as moz and dejanSEO so I won't be too concerned. There are also a lot of SEOs who continuously experiment with the algo so they're always in the loop. There are a lot of them here, in fact.
This is the link I believe: http://searchengineland.com/fooled-us-google-no-longer-announces-major-algo-updates-217494
The authors of that article have no clue about Machine Learning. Google is faaaaaaaaar away from Skynet, and neural network is just a fancy name for technique that is not accurate, but simple to implement.
This is a cat and mouse game with no ending.
There will be always cracks that can be abused to improve ranking, this is something that will never go away.
