A month ago, I Started working with a niche(Less Comp) with 95,000 monthly Search . Build a Landing Page(wordpress.com) Ranked it On 1st Position On Google.com a week ago but till now I Don't get more than 100 pageviews a day . Checked it again on Adwords , Same data Found .Also it doesn't convert . It is a BlackHat niche I am using With CPA Sites .

Has Anyone Of you Encountered this problem before

    Thank You

Well, they are pretty accurate or at least the most accurate out there since they are google's product.

For CPA keywords, they might be seasonal keywords, and GKP usually has 2 months delays data. You can use google trends to check if its MS is still relevant.

From my experience, the Keyword Planner is NOT accurate, by far. It's very useful however, because it shows you an average ratio between various searches.

I some tests a while ago just to find how accurate... For example, for a specific niche, for a specific country, the tool showed zero "-" searches, and I was getting ~100 hits per day in analytics for the specific keyword, not to mention variations.

So, for small number of searches is not very relevant. For bigger number, the relevance is increasing, but still I would say to use the data with a ballpark estimation.

Also, please make sure you are looking at strict keywords [keyword], not plain keyword or phrase.

Also, you should consider that neither in Google Analytics you will not get crystal clear reports of the keywords, due the ssl issue.

What I suggest ALWAYS before an SEO optimisation is to do some Google Adwords tests, to see which keywords convert better. Usually, there are some big differences between what you think it will work and what actually does :)

    Good luck.

I found the Google tool laughably inaccurate, and always in the "sucker you in then hit you" way around.

    Traffic estimates are too high.
the expected price per click is laughable. You pick a few thousand keywords based partly on the prediction of what they will cost, then the very second you start your campaign it tells you the bid is "blow first page bid" and that to get on the first page you need to spend up to 10x as much as the keyword tool predicted. It's NEVER LESS.. always a hell of a lot more.
By then you might feel committed to PPC and bung a few dollars on anyway. Then Google wins (and you've basically been conned).

My guess is you might have mistaken broad match for exact match. Broad match is usually way too inflated in a way.

For better conversion, you will want to target buyer keywords. Else you will just be wasting time. No tool can tell you if a keyword will convert.

It's only as accurate as google wants it to be. My bet is they are manipulating it. Lots of posts, forum threads, etc about traffic higher than kw tool.

It's not made to be an accurate search tool - if they wanted to give people the data, they'd make it more accessible and accurate.

It is never accurate! The data is always old (never in real time). It hides tons of LSI keywords.

You must get more views! Check the trend by months - some months it can get 5000 some 150 000 searches. Also how you check the rankings?

keywords are way below their actual CPC. that's a bad sign that Google wants you to be sucker in first in their ad program, then hit you with no choice for the pricing

I also find that KW planner is inaccurate, but maybe because my niches are too small (<2000 searches per month per KW). But some other niches that are interesting to me, the KW tool showed very little number of searches, but in reality I can see that there are many more. A better way would be to run an Ad Words campaign, but then you have to spend $$ upfront to get data. Also whatever you bid, even for longtails, it always seems to show "below first page bid". But when you actually search, there are no ads on the search results page!
