i want to promote my business at local online market, but confused about leads, is google ads good for sales, or ads for just promotion.

They are very good for any kind of business. You have to do it very well to gain some reliable leads.

Why wouldn't it be? Just make sure that, you're targeting commercial keywords with buyer intent.

Do you want to get more leads then target only leading keywords in SEO or PPC.
