When I used to do follow unfollow I was getting 100+ followers a day. Now engagement hasn't been as great

Interesting topic.

Hopefully more senior members reply here...

Depends, alot of the time the follow/unfollow depend on niche. Might be following bots that autofollow back.. There is many variables.

Yes, its still effective. A lot of people looks new followers and start to follow them too.
I see this dependence in RL life. It really works!

What other good choice we have to get followers or engagement?

I use it and it has been the most effective strategy for me. I only post like a photo a week though so it gives me some way to get people to my page...

I agree. The best goal are people within 15 and 25 yo. They are using instagram instant, they follow a lot of page.
And- of course- all depends of content of your profile.

Per my experience a captivating pic or image posted got the most followers..

It is still effective for some people. I still do the follow/unfollow method on some of my accounts. But a lot of people say joining engagement groups is better though, so you should also consider that.

It's working for me. So far I followed 4K and got about 1300 followers so roughly 25%+ follow back ratio.

And with those followers I'm getting between 50-100 likes per post.

I am following between 200-300 per day as well.

Definitely still works. Just gotta be within your niche/age group and ensure that you're consistent with it. I keep mine between 200-450 per day per account and switch it up every day so it's not robotic looking. Simple stuff :D.

Do you guys notice that following users who have less than 50 following, gives a better result of a follow back? Or is it better to follow those that have 100+ followings?

Hasn't been as great maybe because of the people you're following. Try to follow from other sources and compare follow back rates, you'll probably get to something. Wish you best!

I think the less followers the best, but I WONT check profile x profile.

Sorry, I believe I didn't make myself clear. It's not how many followers the account has, but how many people are following the account.

Has anyone experienced a larger follow-back ration following/unfollowing accounts that have 50 or less people following them, or following/unfollowing accounts that have 50+ people following them?
