Is FL charging subscriptions or did they scrap that idea?

Haven't been on here in a while and i'm wondering if they are charging ppl monthly subscription fees? I just fired it up and it seems to run fine for me without asking me to pay but I'm wondering about what the official word is.

I think they are charging new customers. I'm an old customers and was grandfathered in.
