Is fiver dead for web devs ?

I used to make a fair amount of money quite a while ago using fiver so recently i jumped back on only to meet a bombardment of phishing campaigns , like 9 fiverr messages a day of just straight up phishing ( and bad phishing to like shitty automated bots)

I had a talk to the support and gave them so advise on how to mitigate that bots but it all left me pretty disapointed

So your still getting some decent clients from fiverr ?

I wasn't sure if the whole platform is just over run with bots

positively they put me through to there cybersecurity partner program so i might see something from that to mitigate the bots and scams
 
Fiverr still works if you niche down, optimize your gig smartly, and stay active. Bots are an issue, but genuine clients still browse. Focus on strong portfolios, quick replies, and solid reviews—it makes a difference even in the noise.

I have never used Fiverr before and thankfully I will not test that platform ever.
My post's experience is based freelancing at BlackHat World.

And if you ask me, yes. Fiverr is full of bots and bots wont pay anything :)

Yeah right now i thinking i am just going to work on sending some clients i have got from other platforms to make a purchase on fiverr to use the fiverr escrow and that should translate to better views and reviews for fiverr to much noise atm i have been able to find many clients
 
Fiverr are doing a big advertising push for this kind of thing. That once you get stuck after getting so far with AI, you should hire a programmer from there to finish the job. If you are a standout, well-versed programmer, and not a just recent AI only programmer, then you should do well.

Have you been able to freelance on blackhatworld fulltime ?

Yeah i was suprised making a new account on fiverr , my longest message thread was with fiverrs support teams about ways to mitigate the bot issue , the bot security was terrible but if they pay me that will be cool to

Web dev is not dead, but as you can imagine, Fiverr is highly competitive, too many sellers with tens or hundreds of reviews, not easy to compete against them, when you are starting, you need to expand your options, look for alternatives and even considere offering your services for lower prices until you gather some reviews

I was freelancing here just for a couple of months. Enough to learn how 4 figures looks like in my wallet.

Number of sellers keep increasing every day. It's extremely competitive and it will only get more difficult as more people from third world country join the platform.

I see that on every website selling something whether it's physical or digital stuff. They even send SMS to random sellers with fraudulent payment requests.

If Fiverr sucks, present your expertise on YouTube. If you establish a good channel, you have very valuable traffic to funnel. My advice is to do only one channel because if you do more, you'll not be able to focus on testing that well.

In my opinion fiver is not dead for web developers. It has a lot of clients every day, but you must position yourself well. Those who are working on fresh account, they are struggling more but good accounts are getting good business. Website categories are big on Fiverr, like WordPress, e-commerce, landing pages, speed optimization, custom themes, etc.

The problem is not Fiverr, the problem is how you present your service and how good your gigs are. Good portfolio, clear pricing, fast replies, good reviews, these things make a big difference.
 
Fiverr is not over yet for web developers. It is much more competitive than before.
 
Private, companies solely depends on fiverr because there are many talents there, getting offers or job on fiverr, you must be outstanding and make sure your service is a quality one.
