Is feedback really important?

Can I buy 1000 CD/USB sticks packs and resell them on ebay, to get 1000 OK feedbacks. Will that help me if I am selling online laptops? I mean is easy to get lot of feedbacks with CD/USB memory cards, just that the profit is very low.... but you get the feedback. Does your feedback have any value in the "ebay best match algoritm's eyes" ?

I don't care so much about "what people think" because i already have 3000 + reputation, I only want to be higher in Best Match (the default search algorithm for ebay)

TRS, FB's,DSR's, free ship, 1 day ship time, return policy - all of that matters but only a fraction.
What matters is the conversion of your listings. Sell on a particular listing withing 24 hours and it will move up the ladder. Sell more and it will continue to climb. Sell nothing and you will find it on page way back there.

Since you have already 3000 FB's another 500 or 1000 don't really matter.

In the early stages yes it is very important but when you get into the 1000s a lot less important.

I think it less important because PayPal keep the buyer money safe

Buying feedback does not help or affect your standing at all with Ebay.

In my opinion feedback is very critical when first starting an account.

However there will be a time where you have enough feedback and a good enough successful selling history that it wont matter no where near as much as it did when you first starting selling on Ebay as long as your feedback stays 100% positive.

You already have too much feedback to be concerned with manipulating ebay feedback's. Find alternative outlets to list your ebay listings so they rank.
