I would suggest you to keep the same FAQ scheme in your website. Because it doesn't cause any affect to your page as it is supported by google.
No, FAQ schema won't affect your website ranking in any way.

FAQ Schema is still recognized and supported by search engines, including google you can keep the code. The impact on website speed is minimal.

interesting, I added faq schema on one page (1 question and 1 answer) and after few days, the ranking for that page has gone down! will keep it as it is for few more weeks and then see if the ranking comes back or not. if it does not, i will remove it.
