Facebook doesn’t actually take your money, but their billing system is confusing. Most of the time it’s either pending charges or a hold that makes your balance look off. Also, if your account is restricted or flagged, the prepaid balance sometimes doesn’t show up until the issue is cleared.
I’d suggest checking the billing summary in Ads Manager and seeing if there are unsettled invoices. That usually explains where the money went.

it’s not facebook stealing your money, usually it’s a billing or display glitch. sometimes funds are on hold, or your payment method didn’t actually clear. try checking your billing section and ad credit balance, or contact support to confirm where the money went.

I have never encountered this case, maybe you have run it before but do not remember to turn off the campaign. Fb's policy is strict but there is no way they will take your money

Fb never steals your money, Fb just has a policy of holding a certain amount of money to make sure you don't steal their money

Facebook doesn’t “eat” your money. Usually this is because the displayed balance is different from the actual spending limit, or the payment method has not been confirmed so the system cannot use it. You need to check the billing & payment threshold in Ads Manager to know exactly.
