I’m sure many of you have faced this:

  • A profitable campaign suddenly gets restricted.
  • Accounts die even without clear policy violations.
  • Appeals end up with the same copy-paste responses from bots.

Facebook claims they are protecting users and ensuring transparency. But in reality, a lot of legit advertisers are getting killed too.

  • One side believes this is the future: if you want to run ads, you must stay 100% compliant and clean.
  • The other side insists that Facebook is squeezing smaller advertisers and prioritizing big brands only.

❓Which side are you on?

  • Do you agree that Facebook is protecting its ecosystem?
  • Or do you believe they’re just making it harder for the rest of us to survive?

I agree that Facebook needs to tighten up to protect the ecosystem because of too many fake and fraudulent accounts. However, applying too rigidly sometimes affects legitimate advertisers as well, reducing fairness in the advertising environment.

I think like you

They're making things harder for everyone, especially us, advertisers... but thanks to cloaking we can beat them.

Facebook claims protection but mainly shields big brands. Smaller advertisers often bear the brunt unfairly.

I think this is Mark's game. When we join, we have to accept the rules of the game. Whether it is banned or not, I think changing the content is a good idea for creators. Nowadays, there are many websites that allow copying ads right after you post them. The ads being scanned will help the author constantly change the content to avoid being stolen and create profits for himself. Instead, you need to optimize a little bit of the original ads you create. The products you create yourself will always be of better quality than the stolen products.

They are making things harder for small advertisers who are just starting out. They only cause problems, spreading fake news, running misleading blogs, and aggressively advertising health products. That’s why platforms are starting to prefer working with big advertising agencies, since it requires less effort on their side to protect the ecosystem.

These days it feels like even legit campaigns get shut down and appeals do nothing leaving small advertisers stuck while big brands just keep rolling

I think this is a tough situation. On one hand, Facebook says they’re protecting users, but at the same time many advertisers face unexpected restrictions and rejections.

Good camps are automatically restricted, accounts die without reason, protests only accept representative bots. Is Facebook protecting the ecosystem or the small ones, prioritizing big brands?

It does feel like Facebook has become much stricter recently. On one hand, they say it’s about protecting users, but at the same time a lot of genuine advertisers are facing restrictions too.

yes that is really the problem i am facing, although i did not violate the policy but many accounts are still banned. the results from advertising are getting lower and lower

Practical perspective

Facebook does not intentionally suppress small advertisers, but the censorship model + mechanism of prioritizing large customers has unintentionally created injustice.

This is like a strict filter: those who are patient and accurate enough will survive, and those who depend on "tricks" will be eliminated.

In short:

If you run clean + long-term → the new policy is an opportunity to stand firm.

If you run gray/short-term niches → the new policy makes the game more difficult than ever.

They try to cover their mistaken by tightening their policy. Advertise on FB is getting harder and harder but still so profitable from my point of view. What do you guys think?

Facebook is becoming more strict, making it difficult for many advertisers, but we have to accept the "rules of the game" of the platform. It is too easy to copy the advertising platform, creators need to constantly change and optimize content. This is necessary to avoid being stolen and ensure that the original product is always of higher quality and profit than the copy.

Facebook is definitely tightening control, but it feels less about protection and more about control. Smaller advertisers get hit hardest because they lack resources to appeal or adapt quickly. It’s a tough landscape now staying compliant is necessary, but survival often depends on who has deeper pockets and better connections.
