I had an account that looked to be growing rapidly. Most post reach and likes were natural but a small percentage were paid - this was clear in the stats. At one point I was getting 100 likes an hour and growing. I was getting a handful of likes a day through paid by comparison.
Then I pull the plug on paid and my likes grind to a halt. Everything is at a snails pace. Now I'm getting significantly less new page likes despite having thousands more fans and reaching tens of thousands more people every week.
In most circumstances I would put it down to coincidence, maybe I severely underestimated how effective the paid campaign was and overestimated the organic, but it almost seems as if Facebook is refusing to put my page in front of new people. I feel like they've hit the proverbial killswitch and are basically holding my page to ransom.
Am I paranoid or is this something that happens?
