Expired domains help in faster ranking and many bloggers sharing good results with it. So is everyone using expired domains only now ?

I have used them in the past and found that they boost the ranking. in this sense you have to do less work then on the fresh domain for building authority in eyes of google. You could use them for passing sandbox periods.

How much is the usual sandbox period for a new domain ?
 
These sites remain valuable for their domain authority and backlinks. You can build your site around its pre-existing content or redirect users to a new digital address.
 
From what I've read in the last couple of weeks, some people had good results with fresh domains as well. But yeah, a good expired domain can definitely speed things up.
 
Expired domains cut the waiting period and can help you instantly rank. You can use fresh domains if you can wait for them to slowly grow. But if you have good budget, then it's better to get an expired domain in your niche.
 
If it's a good fit, you can use an expired domain for your primary website. To put it another way, if you're an SEO firm and you're getting expired domain links from another SEO firm - especially one that does the same type of SEO in the same place - you're probably safe.

What other parameters are to be looked at while buying an expired domain ?
 
I consider myself an 'experienced blogger' and only use fresh domain names

I've had good results because I focus on creating content searchers are actually looking for

Of course, I cheat a little because I don't start from scratch....

I reverse engineer my competitors' lowest difficulty niche-relevant keywords with decent search volume
