Is trying to make money on Ebay worth the effort anymore? Does anyone on here make money from it? It used to be so easy back in the good old days of ebooks anywhere. Now it's only on classified has anyone got anything to say about their experiences of Ebay recently?

well perhaps or perhaps not ebay itself, however it shouldn't be too hard to make your ebooks onto CDs (just get the cd label paper and have a program to make CD labels...) sell those on ebay, or get EPN accounts and stuff sites, blogs, etc to get paid that way too. Its not dead, but just going to be more competition I believe.

I've only started with the EPN so I'll let you know how that works out later on, but going to be doing mass selling with ebooks on CDs, some ads, and whatnot.
 
Yeah dont go near that money sucking seller hated feebay site unless you want to throw money at them for very little in return.

Use alternatives like ebid etc
 
Ebay can stil be worth it if you have something popular to sell.

For example, Jonas brothers tickets or the Nintendo Wii. Anything else, forget it.

Ebay has made it so hard for the small seller or someone starting off to make money. They have this whole "Best match" thing that puts power sellers before you.

And if you decide to sell something small, you will probably pay them more than profit. You are better off keeping some things.

You have listing fees, final value fees...and then of course, the PAYPAL fees.

Dealing with Paypal is a nightmare. Honestly, for the hundreds they have taken from me and how much they take from others, you would THINK they would be more friendlier and wanting to help.

Forget it. I tried. I lost more than I earned.

I do ebay/cl arbitrage and make some good extra money at it. Ebay as a solo white hat biz model...looks tough these days. If your willing to get into the whole knock off game and know what you're doing...you can make a lot of cash. There is still a LOT of money to be made with ebay.

eBay affiliate(EPN) is worth it because you well randomly get some who is a eBay freek and you well get a big sale... some just bought a 2,000 video game system bundle I made $45 which is pretty good for one day...
 
EPN is so worth it. Just build quality blogs with good user content and you will get buyers to your site. I am getting moderate success with EPN.
 
Yep I make money off my EPN sites. It can be pretty variable but I don't spend any time on em anymore so it's all bonus.
 
There are success stories and there are failures on ebay.
One just need to try it out.
 
you can make a shit load of money with ebay you just need to know how
you can make a TON of money with epn and and selling - knowing what to sell is a big plus
 
Ebay is tough these days. Unless you have a big profit item, antique furniture, game tickets, something with a minimum of at least a $50 NET PROFIT after all fees, it is not worth the hassle. It is like trying to beat the casino.

Go for the big money and stay away from paypal. Even if you are squeaky clean, they change the rules at will and screw you. They protect buyers, not sellers.

Classified ads are the best way to go for now. But only a matter of time before that ends. Ebay is in a tailspin and it is not surprising.
