It's not dead you just have to know what you are doing. It's like anything else if you have a good plan and know what you are doing you will be able to do well. I myself am getting back into ebay after a 6 year hiatus. I made the decision after researching the products I sell on other platforms to the current ebay sales trend. eBay is definitely still profitable, just not as “easy” as it used to be. Margins are tighter, and competition is heavier, but the buyers are still there. I’ve seen success with niche products and proper listings, titles, photos, and descriptions all matter more than people think.

Ebay is going through a hard time battling with competitors like Amazon. I think is still profitable depending on your niche.
final note; be prepared to do your own work bcos there is no such thing as an AMERICAN DREAM again on ebay.
