Hello,
I'm interested in dropshipping for a while. I'm a frontend web developer in a country where $ is much expensive then our own currency.
So I couldn't use my salary on FBA type e-commerce beacuse it's not worth it. I couldn't even buy products, I'm not even talking about fee's, warehouse cost etc. Just products are expensive when I buy them with $.
So Dropshipping is a great choice for now.
I have a little experience from past.
Me and my friend tried a while ago to make dropshipping. We bought Shopify and make it ready to go, we gave some Facebook ads but as I mentioned up there, our balance just hit the ground in a week, also we had to pay Shopify + extra costs.
So we quit.
Now, I'm alone, I'm working in a company and I have got a salary. Its not high, but I want to try my chance.

I wonder if you could give me some advices...
For example;
- Where should I start first?
- Do amazon or ebay let us to dropship? (I know they don't but if there is a way to do it i would prefer them)
- Should I make a website for dropshipping, I have knowledge about wocommerce & worpress. I could easily build a website.
- Where should I prefer as suppliers? is aliexpress good enough or should I look for places like cjdropshipping?

Or if you have other tips to tell me I can listen.
Thanks, have a nice day

Amazon and ebay dont allow dropshipping but you can do it anyway.
You can do it on your own site if you like, im doing that as one of my options.

Best place is read guides and watch youtube vids to get a full explanation.

So the thing is not to make customers mad?
If I use my own website, what should I do about shipping times, I thing even 1 week is too long.

ebay is really low cost if you are able to use suppliers that take paypal, but you do run the risk of having your Paypal account being placed on hold

eBay is a pretty good solution for beginners. Shopify is more for advanced drop shippers.

Yup you can start a dropshipping store, woocommerce wil do perfectly...

I dropshipped selling on ebay, sourcing from Amazon.
(theoretically against Amazon policies but never got my account blocked... And if they would have it's so easy to create a new Amazon account...)
It never had issues with ebay, called their support a few times, if they ask, just say you're a business, tell them you have your inventory in Amazon warehouses...
You can give the exact same explanation if you ever get an ebay customer asking why he gets an Amazon box...

Sourcing from Amazon has the advantage of fast shipping and great customer service.
Negative is you are not in control of the inventory, when sold out on Amazon you have an issue to source the article elsewhere to be able to ship to your customers...
And sometimes Amazon restricts the quantity of items per customer, impossible to dropship these items...

Dropshipping out of China, you can start testing products from Aliexpress, if you have a product which sells well you can search for a Chinese dropshipping agent or even source larger quantities and have these shipped to a distribution centre...

If you've a bunch of integrated payment gateways, definitely.

Horrible time to get into DS.. Right now I'm buying wholesale on Alibabe and fulfilling orders in house. This is the best way to keep customers happy. Dropshipping is a shit show, and not a good long term business model.
