The guy who got the idea from kickstarter did NOT create the patent. He saw the product on kickstarter, was "patent pending," and thought something along the lines of "is he bluffing?" But it also was an INSANE kickstarter funding, so he was like "Lemme contact my Chinese factory of choice, and see how fast they can make this thing." 2 weeks later he was in business.

He beat the product to the market, he made a ton of fast cash, he got out when he was forced out. He said he's going to do it over and over again.

Buy Cheap Chinese Shit
or
Buy Good Working (metal made preferably)

Either Could sell but find a seller and give him a selling price with a % to give to him.
My Recommendation.
 
It's still working but it is dying down.

It's better to try and make a brand out of it and then overcharge.

But I'd say it's only worth going into if you have a large social media presence already, it will give you a huge head start.

Interesting read. Talks about aliexpress copycatting kickstarter campaigns, at lightning speed. Point is, you need to jump in at the beginning of a trend. Not months deep into the craze. You've already lost at that point.

Yes, that could be a good niche. If the item is hot selling then you can get a lot of buyers and you will profit from that.
