Hey guys,

I know that off-shore hosting is imperative to best avoid DMCA takedowns, but do domain extensions and where you buy them from also important?

I was hoping to just buy a .co domain name from GoDaddy but was weary of whether or not DMCA notices / takedowns are also prone from buying a domain name from GoDaddy?

I am 100% Blackhat website that will be prone to copyright takedowns. To best avoid them...:
  1. Is it safe to buy a domain name from GoDaddy?
  2. Is a .co domain extension safe?
  3. Does anyone have experience or reviews in regards to using Webuzo for off-shore hosting?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!

Yes, not just domain extension but also the registrar.

Do you have any recommendations for a registrar that does well to ignore DMCA notices?

And is a .co extension safe?

.Co is similar to .com so I bet it's the same in safety issue. Just find yourself an extension that is not in the big range. .EU seem to be better and Internet.BS fo registrar

Thanks for the help! Do you think it is necessary to signup and pay with fake information as well?

GoDaddy will get rid of you without any question. They don't give a damn about you. I can't really answer 2. For #3, it is important to note that DMCA is an American law. So if you're looking for a hosting company, go for one that is in a country that doesn't bend over backwards for the US.

Sure, you need to be as anonymous as possible. It's that 100% safe, but you'll better with this.
- Domain Extension
- Domain Registrar
- Domain Information
- Website Hosting

Yea, I heard GoDaddy melts like butter to any DMCA notices. Webuzo is an off-shore hosting site and a few people here have stated they are good, but I haven't seem any formal reviews on these forums either so I was just asking out of curiosity. If people can offer up better than I'm all ears.

Am going to buy a .xyz domain extension, that should be fine right?
Also Buying with a fake identity from internet.bs should take care of the Domain registrar / private whois and the information.
As far as web hosting goes, my current pick right now is Webuzo. If anyone can offer better providers than I'm all ears.

ffs take a minute to google something before spouting off random bullshit that isn't true.

You want the .co because there are no registration requirements, right? So shit doesn't come back to you. Buying a .co through GoDaddy totally negates the purpose you chose a .co in the first place. You don't get the benefits of the .co by registering it with an US company that is going to follow US laws. Do you expect Go Daddy to tell someone with a DMCA, "hey this guy has a .co....fuck off?" I mean, come on. Think about it. Yes it matters.

DMCA is an US maneuver. Every country has their own copyright laws.
Select an extension that is not under US jurisdiction or Verisign's controlled extension like - .com, .net, .cc , info, .org, .me, .tv etc.

Go for .se .ru .ws .pl

And, I just don't understand wts you just said. Get a hold of yourself and read up to understand. It's better to ignore if you can't understand what a few sentences means.

Google torrent or porn sites that have been online at least 1 - 2 years and check their domain extensions, registrar, hosting provider. Learn from others.

Awesome, thanks again!
