I was going thru some old ebooks about document sharing & getting
high rankings with google but there old ebooks is it still working

Personally I had no success, and I tried with docstoc.

I implemented the whole scribd, docstoc, etc. and it didn't really work well for me either.

However, I had a different problem.

The document sharing sites were not letting me share more than 1 document, and I contacted them several times and no body ever answered, so I just moved on to other methods.

Neither have I, altough I read the importance of that resides in the fact that it counts as a backlink good strategy, I m still exploring this though.
