Is directory submission helpfull after Penguin update ..?
YES, if done properly and with keeping in mind common things.
Yes, if it's not the only strategy you use.
I'll make it simple, it's helpful, but the single factor, you need to diversify every links, keywords, platform, deep linking, etc in penguin-era.
very helpful. I have around 30 new sites done 2 monthes before penguin. I got around 100 backlinks (approved) from directory submission for each site in march and april just before penguin started. Most of these 30 sites ranked on page 3 to page 5 for the main target keywords since June this year. Couple of them even on page 1 or page 2. I didn't do any backlinking except those directory submissions done before penguin. So the directory submission did help. But all these new sites target long tail keywords, with search volumn under 10000 per month. (most are between 4000 to 8000 search per month)
yes works fine but limited dont build 100s backlinks daily build simple 20-30 links that looks natural to search engine.
YES, if done properly and also optimized common content and target your specifics correctly.
Pretty Much Helpful if done manually on reputed dir sites
Yeap but to diversify you need to have backlinks from other sources as well too.
