Is DIGG a good traffic source?

Ok
I was looking around and saw a couple blogs with digg on the posts.. so i was wondering if the digg is a good website to post a couple stories and get leads..
Well i went and created a new story with a banner on top of it related to the story (but the banner is cpa offer).
then i had 11 emails here that i created few days ago so i decided to create 11 digg accounts and digg my own story with those accounts.
I created one account at the time and digged one at the time... left 6 comments... but i haven't received any traffic....

is there like a minimum diggs needed to get your story in a good place to get a lot of traffic? any suggestions?

And yes i receive ok traffic from digg. You just need to have a catchy title. Just add a bunch of friends and send shouts out from time to time.

it gave an error i didnt know it posted on the other forum (reported to admin for removal)

well how many diggs do you usually get and how many visitors?

i am getting about 30 visitors a day with only 15 diggs..i have only sent a shout once and that was about 3 weeks ago..

I just posted a "problem" never mentioned i wanted to buy anything

Digg traffic usually converts badly, they dont click on adsense, dont buy. At least that was the story with me and everyone i know.

Yeah, the reason why you use Digg isn't to get traffic from Digg's users.

You Digg your articles and blog posts because Google ranks Digg bookmarks highly (for the moment anyway) and after you Digg something it will often get on the first page of Google for your search terms. (If you're careful about targeting a good keyphrase that's only moderately competitive, not insanely competitive.)

Since your bookmark to your article on Digg is now on the first page of Google for your keyphrase, peopel searching on that keyphrase will end up on your site after they check out your Digg bookmark.

Digg works really well as a way to build organic search engine traffic. It doesn't work so well at bringing in Digg users, and most Digg users aren't looking to buy anything either.

I digg some of my pages form my website..
I think about 10 pages in 10 minutes, than my account dissapear.. woaa..
Looks like digg admin really hates spammer, eventhough I only digg a little.
Well, looks like digg is a spammer target now, I see a lot of spam link there.
