Is Day trading worth it?

Hello BHW

I´m studying technical analysis for about two weeks now and I´ve already learn many things, but I see that most people on forums like this one, Reddit, etc, picture Day trading (crypto, stocks, options, etc) as a "gamble".

Is that true? Am I wasting my time?

I don't know. Holding crypto is probably the best option. You will definitely make money in the long term. IMO day trading is not worth it.
 
Hold a percentage of your portfolio and trade the rest if you have time and passion for it. Never mix the holding and trading balances together. That's it. You can earn a lot or lose a lot both ways ;)
 
Same as the other thread you opened about crypto :)
 
If you understand what you are doing, and have decent capital yeah. If not than don't bother.

If you know what your doing you can make really nice gains... I am focussing on crypto as your mainly fighting against amateurs. much easier to win... check out Quickfingers Luc on youtube, very solid strategy to this day.
 
Day trading is just gambling. Some politician farts on TV and prices move. There's no way to be consistent at it.

Most day traders, even the famous ones, end up broke.

I recall a famous trader who had a program on TV while if you searched his name his home was being foreclosed.

2 weeks or years?

Try paper trading first, be honest with your results and then come back in 2 more weeks and decide.
 
It's the best strategy for fast capital accumulation if you know what you are doing, but you could get wrecked pretty fast if you are noob.

Just don't use leverage in your first 100-200 trades and you will have a slight chance of success.

You would probably see your first good profits after 500 trades, so be smart and do your first hundred trades with small amounts.
