Is crypto a scam?

And here is a little article that I just read this morning :

https://cointelegraph.com/news/day-trading-bitcoin-why-95-of-traders-lose-money-and-fail
to make you realise that the problem can go deeper once the addiction is there

Yes it might be. But someone who uses Bitcoin to accept payments knows its true value.

Not having 7-10% of your payment deducted in fees or not having the risk of chargeback is something really great about it.

Many coins are scams, first thing I do is read up on the team before buying in

People have been worrying about the effects of new technology since.... fire.

Random people that doesnyt know about crypto. : It is a scam.
Me: I was in bitcoin when the price was less than $1. Bitcoin is decentralized, Bitcoin cannot be freeze, like your money in banks. You can transfer it to any country or any individual with very minimal fee instantly. No one would know how much crypto you own. Crypto and blockchain is the future.

Paypal hate bitcoin before. One of my paypal was limited because I use it to trade bitcoin. But little by little paypal are defeated by bitcoin. They probably realize they can't defeat bitcoin that's why they join them. I have no problem with it because it helps in promoting bitcoin.

Yeah, but i dont think paypal is interested in joining anything. What its gonna be like is probably owning and dominating it than joining it. Like they own and dominate and abuse and treat unfairly every seller thats ever used them and earned more than $10 through them.

If people wanna play fiat on paypal, fine, theyll get ripped off by paypal left and right on all sorts of high fees and then possibly have their money frozen for 6 months and then possibly having their money stolen by paypal.. if not first stolen by the armies of scammers that use paypal and who paypal loves to award money to in fraudulent sales/chargebacks.

I cant wait for them to start freezing/stealing bitcoins and they freeze someone's 10 bitcoins at $10.000 (worth $100.000) and then 6 months later its $100.000 (worth $1.000.000) and just as the person is about to get his funds released, paypal transfers the bitcoins to themselves claiming acceptable use violations.

I just wonder if the guy kills himself or hurts others at that point.

Bitcoins users who only use bitcoin to bitcoin are not affected by this. Only those paypal users.

Those poor fucks. They have no idea the ass rape thats coming their way by the big bad paypal rape machine.

Is it rife with scams? Yes. Is it a scam in and of itself? Absolutely not. It's just a super volatile speculative asset. Easiest to think of (most) cryptocurrencies as the penny stock equivalent to the (comparably) blue stock assets like precious metals

Theirs certainly crypto projects that are total scams however I think bitcoin and most the larger top 10 coins are legitimate. I personally will never put any money in anything below the top 10 coins and would never touch ICOs.

I'd also hesitate to invest in privacy coins like XRP, unless you truly truly believe it's the future of finance. But I'd imagine most are aiming to increase their net worth, not try and change the state of finance globally
