is copywriting dead?

So far there is no risk. Those AIs are still not capable to develop and write a full article by themselves. If you insist in publishing a 100% AI generated article without any manual revision, human touch or edits, your text will be probably full of repetitiveness, wrong information, excessively politically correct and other problems that can be easily identified by a human eye, which would result in less engagement, less page retention, less clicks on ads and penalties from search engines.

However, in the future this kind of problem will be likely fixed and it could be hard to make a living by selling your writing services, we need to wait to know how good it will be and how expensive it will be.

is copywriting going to die with the rise of AI becoming better, and even more human-like?
Copywriting won’t die. AI will handle repetitive tasks, while human creativity, storytelling, and emotional connection will remain irreplaceable.

yeah but if people are almost certain that we could live in a simulation, if our words are controlled through AI, and same with emotions, then we are most definitely irreplaceable, AI literally looks just like life now, it will keep improving

Whatever humor spreads or we think, We’ll always bring something AI can’t replicate!

i disagree, i believe AI can and will continue to produce great copywriting. You still need to feed it the right points and stuff though. it doesn't currently do sales letters very well tahts for sure. but other kinds of copy, no problme. claude is amazing writer.

No way dude. As long as we're selling to humans, copywriting won't be dead

Yea we're good as copywriters for the foreseeable future. However, I think that copywriters who use AI to help them with their workflows will replace those that don't. While you can't exactly tell ChatGPT to "Write me a salesletter selling this XYZ weight loss supplement" and expect a good result, it is good for helping you work out customer avatars, headline and subheadline ideas, product titles, and sales angles to use in your copy.

You guys really gotta try out Claude for copywriting. Tell him to write like a professional copywriter who makes good use of white space and open loops like Joanne wiebe and others do, and to write you a sales letter.

Claude 3.5 spits straight fire.

It seems to me on the contrary that there is AI. People can write text at its expense and earn money on freelance exchanges. And large companies will always need text, and therefore the need for copywriting

Copywriting can't be dead. It seems you all keep forgetting, that without humans there is nothing like AI content. AI cant function itself without good prompting

It's hard enough trying to get another human to write what you want them to write.

Never mind AI

Hmm… I don’t think so.

AI is just a tool.
It’s useless if the person using it doesn’t know the subject.

Let me give you an example:
I’m a copywriter, and I know how to get good outputs from AI.

And I mean GOOD.

But when one of my friends uses the exact same AI… the results are awful.

Sure, it’ll give them words, but they’re empty. Just “pretty” text,
not words that actually sell.

As a copywriter, I’m not worried about AI if anything, it saves me a ton of time.

And here’s the thing:
The more people who don’t understand copy use AI to write their stuff, the better…
Because they all end up sounding the same.

And that’s exactly when real copywriters STAND OUT.

Cheers.
