Is content readability effect SEO?

I mostly write longer sentences in my native language and Yoast always how red colour in readability.

Will using the readability guidelines of Yoast SEO will help in SEO?

Basically, Yoast says Use short paragraph, Max 20 word in a line and others readability factors.

I would imagine it is a factor. Also its definitely not a bad thing anyway - clear and concise content is easier to read and its more likely to increase conversion rate / lower bounce rate.

So, If I make a 300+ word paragraph. Is it a bad On page practice?

I know clear and simple content is best.
I will follow this in future,
But is it effective enough to edit content on my previous pages?

Short sentences and short paragraphs separated by headings are going to be better. Whos to say what Google considers too long for a paragraph, but you know yourself that if you have an article split up by lots of headings and sub-headings its much easier to read than one with huge amounts of unbroken paragraphs.

Also, remember that lots of people skim through articles for a particular sub-topic or area they are interested in and headings make it easier for people to do this.

I would say that in the scheme of things, its probably not a big deal. But you know with this type of thing, all these different elements add up.
 
Don't use too short sentences, long and complex sentences indicate a better writing, but as long as the content is original and unique you should be fine. I don't use Yoast as an indicator of high quality content.
 
Yes it does... The whole idea of blogging is about providing good quality information for people. So it is necessary to make it easy and simple for them to understand. It helpsnin improving online traffic. So make sure you are doing it right!
 
Yoast SEO is a good start but you can't only rely on the plugin. Just see it as generic guidelines. A lot of pages would have red on all the options and still rank 1st on Google. I also often see pages on the first page with long broken English sentences just because they have good backlinks and all the KW on the page.

Some important things for creating SEO contents.

> Make content simple and share worthy.
> Create an article for engaging peoples.
> Relevant images must be unique and add Alt text with keywords in post.
> Low Keyword density with catchy title.
> Use H2 and H3 in article.
> Use main keyword in first paragraph as well as.
> Use LSI keywords in article.

Try social bookmarking, Web 2.0 and Outreach. It will defiantly work for ranking factor.
 
Readability won't directly affect seo ( from my personal experience), but it will impact on bounce rate.

I've just interviewed 100 writers this past couple of weeks and some of the articles sent made me stop reading on the first or second paragraph. Had this been on a site, I'd have logged off and moved onto the next site.

I was trying to buy HemingwayApp the other day on an old Paypal with no card connected, and the morons wouldn't take payment.
 
For me, it's more on how you want your readers to relate to what you're saying. Some like it short, some like it long. SEO-wise, readability will help you but does not impact much in optimization per se. :)
 
bounce rate is taking under consideration by google so it's affect your SEO
