Who was the host? They have to be dumb, no offence of course. Surely they should know you offer DMCA takedown notices right from the download page.

"offshore hosting" is not needed for cleanfiles. just a webhosting company which handles DMCAS correctly.

Cleanfiles does not ignore DMCA requests. Had the offended company sent to the proper dmca email, their request would have been fulfilled within 24 hours. Instead they sent to the hosting company which over-reacted.

I will be doing some talking to make sure this does not happen again.
