Is chatgpt underpriced?

I think they are still making money because API is not cheap.

They used all these GPUs for training models, so unless they rented them, they have them just for the cost of the electricity.

Also they do dominate market and upsell GPT-4 or faster GPT Chat

I'd say it's overpriced, only because it's not stable. The quality has declined a ton since May, to the point I can generally get 5x better results just using the API and only paying for usage, so I might as well just do that.
 
I think they would like to spread the use of chatgpt and make people get used to use it daily lifes. then, the real prices will come...

Did you get back 20$ from it's usage in anyway ? or you are watching too much YouTube.
 
One's people get dependent on it they will start charging more. They are creating demand.
 
I think it's something bigger than money for them.

Just google why Sam Altman the CEO doesn't have any equity in Open ai?

I'm new to SEO, but it does seem incredible to get a premium tool like this for just $20 a month. Maybe they want to help more people access it?
 
Just to add user experience with low cost. They need a lot of contribution to make it more competent.

Definitely it is and i prefer it stay that way. Even the free version works well for me.
